V Levej ríši bol stále pokoj. Kráľovi Simbovi a kráľovnej Nale sa narodila krásna dcéra Kiara. Pavián Rafiky ju zdvihol do výšky, a celý dav od malého mravčeka po obrovského slona vzdal Kiare úctu. Kiara vyrástla v malé pekné levíča. Otec jej zakázal, aby nikdy nevkročila do Zeme vyhnancov .Kiara svojho otca neposlúchla, a do Zeme vyhnancov išla. Tam sa stretla a skamarátila s vyhnancom- levíčaťom Kovu. Netušili že ich sleduje Kovuova mama Zira. Zira bola chladnokrvná a od malička Kovua učila, že musí byť bezcitný, vražedný a v dospelosti Simbu spoločne aj s jeho súrodencami Vitanii a Nukom zabijú. Kovu a Kiara vyrástli v mladé levy. Kiara sa po prvý krát vybrala na lov, zatiaľ Vitanii a Nuko podpálili celú pláň. Kovu Kiaru zachránil. Simba za vďaku nechal na Levej skale Kovua, no hneval sa, lebo to bol vyhnanec zo Zeme vyhnancov. Kiara a Kovu sa do seba zamilovali a prežívali -Upendi- lásku, ale aj dobrodružstvo s Timonom a Pumboom. Onedlho Zira vyzvala Simbu na vojnu. Simba súhlasil a s celou svorkou, tak ako Zira vyšli proti sebe. Začala sa vojna. Kiara a Kovu bežali na pomoc aby všetko medzi sebou v dobrom urovnali. Tak sa aj stalo. Ale Zira chcela za každú cenu Simbu zabiť a vrhla sa priamo naňho. Kiara ho chcela ubrániť, no obe spadli do rokliny, kde sa každú chvíľu pretrhne hrádza vody. Zira bola na tom horšie, už sa neudržala na skalách, a spadla do pretrhnutej hrádze. Simba prijal do Levej ríše levice, ktoré boli v Zirinej svorke, a aj Kovua ktorý bol zamilovaný do Kiary. A tak Levia ríša mala ďalších následníkov trónu.
